AC is a design studio at Sushant School of Art and Architecture, New Delhi. AC operates in the realm between reality and fiction. Studio challenges human perception to create environments that cater to 'novel' socio-political, cultural, economic, geographic, physical and mental conditions.
The formation of environments in a world that we perceive dictates the drive for the profession. The studio extends this perception into speculative conditions. Acknowledging human seduction for the ‘end of days’ the studio attempts to bring forth story‐tellers, documentary makers, artists, dreamers, engineers and of course architects; the studio operates within an overlap of reality and fiction.
Structure:
Students prepare a model of their own apocalypse, an epidemic, alien attack, WW3, nuclear wipe‐out, tsunami, global plague, ozone rupture etc. The models present a reference point/ a feedback describing global‐local conditions, human associations, terminologies, alliances, networking Pangaea, citizen psychology, business, trade, politics, military and health conditions. This indexes to the creation of a unit that projects safety or a mental/physical/social condition.
Output and Medium:
The studio deems to create multiple spatial conditions that symbolize the need of chosen apocalyptical scenario. The students are free to express their unit in digital and physical artwork, movies and models supported by a narration of the essence of their chosen apocalypse.

Submission Requirements
As mentioned before, the requirements are pretty much "to each their own". Whatever medium your team decides suits the respective scheme best. Still Graphics, physical model, videos, animations.
However, everything should be combined for a projected presentation apart from supporting posters for constant reference.
Recommendations
- 2 posters(A1) to explain respective Apocalypse
- 1 Poster(A1) for Architectural Intervention
Again, Each team will have max 12 Minutes for narrating their entire tale. Make sure, the presentation is crisp and precise.
Entire focus should be more on exact characters, science vs fiction and decisions made highlighting errors, results, observations and eureka!

2. Demonstrate with sketches or static models, what is the working model you are proposing w.r.t the intervention

Submission requirements!
1. 1 or 2 A1 poster(s) showcasing the theme. Take clue from movie posters. However, do not stress on characters but only on theme.
2. Models (physical or Digital) demonstrating your references/ metaphor. Highlight the rules/ parameters that your reference operates under?
3. Diagrams. Document the progression of your rules. A catalogue of several possibilities that your reference can generate.

All groups are expected to produce references for the design intervention. This is a table top discussion day!
These references may or may not be linked to your theme.
References are essentially metaphors that shall help you design your respective interventions. They could be inspirations from nature, science, mathematics, theory etc.
Point to note
Reference(s) need to suggest a formal and/or spatial and/or organizational principle.
